Music needs to be heard in the Creative State consultation process

Creative Victoria’s Music Works program is in its final year, so music’s place in the Creative State strategy is more important than ever. It’s a good thing then that Creative Victoria is currently asking for your input to inform the development of the next Creative State strategy, for 2020-2024.

The past four years saw Creative Victoria’s ground-breaking Music Works program deliver over $22M in investment into Victoria’s contemporary music sector through a series of grants, mentoring and professional development programs, strategic initiatives and projects – including the VMDO. It’s now in the final year so 2020+ needs a strong music voice in Creative State - please ensure that yours is heard.

You can help to shape Creative State by contributing your feedback and ideas for Victoria’s creative industries - and specifically for music - by:

  1. Posting a 140 character ‘post-it’ on the online ideas wall

  2. Responding to one, some or all of the themes here

  3. Uploading a submission. Both written and video submissions are welcome

  4. Participating in our consultation workshop or host your own

The 2020-2024 strategy will be made stronger by the many ideas and perspectives that feed into it. So, please get involved, share your insights, experiences and big ideas by 30 August 2019 and encourage others to do the same.

Find out all the ways you can contribute and get involved or contact us at info@vmdo.com.au for more information.
