Winners Announced: China Music Cities Convention 2019 + Clock Bootcamp

Congratulations to our Music Cities Convention and CLOCK program winners, Chelsea Gough (Native Tongue Music Publishing) and Siobhan Kranz (Mushroom Group). It was an extremely competitive application process and we thank the panel from Music Cities and CLOCK for making a tough choice.

We teamed up with CLOCK to offer two ambitious music industry professionals the chance to attend Music Cities Convention in Chengdu, China, followed by a CLOCK bootcamp where they will have the opportunity to validate their skills and experience with formal qualification credits.

Chelsea Gough is the Head of Finance & Administration and Company Director at Native Tongue Music Publishing. Having been a visual artist, teacher, law student and now business owner, Chelsea’s broad range of experiences make her a perfect candidate for the CLOCK program, with Chelsea hopeful that the program will “provide a pathway to bring these traditionally disparate areas together”. The chance to further Native Tongue Music Publishing’s opportunities in China will be a rewarding one, says Chelsea, "China is a necessary next step in the development of our business”.

Siobhan Kranz, the Head of Partnerships and Campaign Strategy at Mushroom Group, is also excited to be attending. “Bringing this knowledge back into the Victorian music industry can only be a positive outcome for export-ready artists, and is the sort of knowledge I would like to be able to share with those in my workplace and the wider music community”, says Siobhan.

Music Cities Convention takes place in Chengdu this week from the 11-12th of April. Music Cities Convention is the largest global reaching conference exploring the relationship between music and the built environment. Leaders and executives from across the public and private sectors will explore and define the impact of music ecosystems on our cities and urban life.

Stay tuned for the mission report from our General Manager, Bonnie Dalton’s trip to China.
