VMDO are assisting two Victorian music professionals in attending ARIA Innovator with a $750 grant and tickets.

LEG UP is an initiative from VMDO, aiming to increase financial literacy and competence amongst Victoria’s small-to-medium music businesses.

We’re in need of some short-term marketing assistance at VMDO, for 4 months from March 2nd to June 26th.

In 2025, a team of academics from Swinburne Institute of Technology and The University of Melbourne reviewed both qualitative and quantitative data to assess the impact of streaming algorithms on Australian artists . Their research used data from Australia’s dominant streaming platform, Spotify, as the basis for quantitive analysis

The VMDO invites researchers, industry, data analysts and policymakers to submit proposals for presentations at the Music Data & Insights Summit 2026. Taking place from 18-19 May, MDIS will bring together experts from across the country and beyond to explore how data, research and evidence-driven practice are shaping the future of music in Australia.
