Victoria’s Digital Creator Program latest workshops

Published 31 March, 2020

Presented by the VMDO, Changer Studios, Film Vic and Creative Victoria, Victoria’s Digital Creator Program includes a series of 10 free online workshops designed to help you get the most out of YouTube.

Initially a response to the findings of last year’s VMDO Consumer Insights Study, which highlighted the importance of video streaming for discovery and ongoing engagement with music, the timing of this program with its focus on digital paths to consumers is even more vital during the COVID-19 crises.

Our next workshop ‘YouTube Workshop East Gippsland: How To Succeed and Make An Impact On YouTube’ is specifically for creators based in East Gippsland. Now more than ever it’s important to understand how you can create online video content from anywhere and anytime to engage with people all over the world.

You’ll learn top tips to help you understand how to take advantage of YouTube and maximise your chances for success. If you have a YouTube channel and want to better understand how to boost viewership and subscribers, or if you aspire to be a YouTube creator but don't know where to start, then this workshop is for you! You'll also hear from guest local creator, author and top YouTuber, Shad Brooks, from Shadiversity! You'll be able to ask Shad questions directly, either in our live online chat or face-to-face. The workshop will take place on Tuesday 7 April at 6pm.

In addition, we also have launched the online four-week Changer Accelerator program for established and advanced Victorian content creators. Featuring world-leading insights from top experts and creators from all over the world, this program is suitable for applicants who have 100k+ YouTube subscribers, are currently working on their channels and are dedicated to growing the success and sustainability of their creating. There are only a maximum of 10 places in the Accelerator. Applications close 5pm Wednesday 15th April 2020.

The following workshop, taking place on Thursday 23 April, will be for the music industry to get the best tips and advice on how to find success on YouTube.
