Experts in Residence – Project Strategising with Kirsty Rivers

Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) are delighted to announce our first Experts In Residence program of 2024, and we’re showing how seriously we’re taking things in 2024 by offering free sessions with local legend and Music Victoria Hall of Famer 2023, Kirsty Rivers.

Kirsty Rivers has filled many roles and can list many achievements in the music industry over the last couple of decades. Indeed, VMDO was created by the Victorian Government during Kirsty’s time as Senior Manager for Contemporary Music at Creative Victoria.

But it's in her most recent role as Head of Music at the Australia Council that she has made the biggest mark, tirelessly advocating for Australian music and the people who make it. This contribution led to her being inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame in 2023.

Now, Kirsty has made herself available during the month of February for one-on-one meetings with any Victorian music industry professionals who could do with some independent input in the fields of industry, strategy and project feedback, or mentorship regarding leadership or negotiation.

Kirsty is available 11am - 12pm and 1pm - 2pm for ONLINE sessions on Mondays, and FACE TO FACE at Music Market in Collingwood on Fridays from 10am to 12pm. The program runs from Monday Feb 5th to Friday March 1st inclusive.
