Published 10 March, 2020

The VMDO First Peoples showcase took place on Wednesday , March 4th at Beavs Bar in Geelong on Wadawurrung country as part of the Exchange Conference presented by  Port Fairy Music Festival  and Folk Alliance International.

First Peoples artists that performed in the Showcase were Allara, Kee’ahn, Pirritu and  Robert K Champion. These artists showcased a special snapshot of the  diversity, talent  and incredible richness of story of First Peoples artists currently working within the Victorian music ecosystem.

We were honoured to hold this event on Wadawurrung country and we pay respects to their Culture, Lores and Customs that continue to this day .

VMDO First Peoples looks forward to future opportunities to Showcase the special talent of First People artists and we thank all who attended for supporting the important place of First Peoples in music.
