Join us for the next edition of VMDO Networking Breakfasts, now fully virtual through zoom.us

On Wednesday 25th March we'll be joined by Line Paras from Counting Clouds. She started the company in 2014 working exclusively with artists, musicians and design based businesses in Melbourne and beyond. Today, she and her team service more than 100 small creative operators, as bookkeepers, providing business management, support and advice.

With a background in jewellery making, hospitality and inner Melbourne indie music, Line has been on the front line as well as the back end of creative and small businesses throughout her working life.

Line will be presenting a workshop with tools where attendees can determine their current financial position, understand how to cover their regular expenses and how to plan to get into a better position. This workshop will be predominantly sole trader/freelancer focused, however there will also be some great takeaways for employees and employers in the music industry. Line will touch on recent government initiatives but please note, the VMDO will be rolling out another session in the near future which will unpack the Australian & Victorian Government economic packages.

Please ensure you register in order to secure your spot. The Zoom video conference link is contained within your ticket, which you'll be able to access once your registration has been completed. If you haven’t used Zoom before, download the app ahead of time here, then read this brief guide about joining a meeting here.

We'd like to encourage you to join us at 9.00am sharp. To begin with, the VMDO team will be taking participants through the new format for VMDO Virtual Networking Breakfasts, which will be as close to the in-person format as possible. You'll have the chance to interact and ask the speaker questions, as well as network with your peers in Zoom breakout rooms before and after the presentation.

Following the Networking Breakfast, Line will be taking part in our Experts in Residence program and running private 60 minute online sessions (through zoom.us) with small Victorian music businesses and professionals.
