Introducing Leg Up!

LEG UP is an initiative from VMDO, aiming to increase financial literacy and competence amongst Victoria’s small-to-medium music businesses.
LEG UP is:
A Grant Stream – in February 2025 VMDO offered 20 grants of up to $1000 each, specifically to be spent on something that helped control finances better. Hardware, software, platform subscriptions, advice… the kind of micro-investment you’re always meaning to make, but always end up using the money for something else.
A Consultation Stream – VMDO also secured a number of one-hour consultations, generously offered by local companies Considered Law, Darkwave, The Gild Group and White Sky. Consultations were free and were a financial health check - for tax planning, royalty accounting, business structure, or any number of other topics with which you need help, with some of the most established entertainment accountancy and law firms in the Victoria.

Leg Up is closed for 2025 (APART FROM THE XERO SUBSCRIPTIONS WHICH ARE ONGOING) but they will hopefully be back in 2026!
