Fast Track Fellowship
The Fast Track Fellowship Fellowship provides life changing opportunities for Victorian music professionals.
The Fellowship is a vital skills development passport that expands pathways to build global networks, international experience and professional opportunities.
In 2025, the Fellowship returns with an opportunity for a mid-career Victorian-based music producer or engineer, who works closely with musicians to help them achieve their artistic goals in the recording studio.
The recording sector is a critical driving engine of the Australian music industry, where producers and engineers manage recordings, meet technical standards and ensure products are ready for global distribution.
The inaugural Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild of Australia (MPEG) 2023 survey said that almost 45% of music producers and engineers are based in Victoria.
The MPEG survey also revealed that 19% have plans to work overseas and almost 35% of respondents have aspirations of an international career, but don’t know how to do it.
Interviewees in the recent VMDO research, Skills & Roles – Support workers in Victorian music industries, spoke highly of mentoring opportunities, where they received valuable advice, training and guidance during their introduction to the music industry.
Delivered in partnership with the MPEG, the 2025 Fellowship supports selected Victorian producers or engineers to participate in a bespoke program in the United Kingdom for two months.
The 2025 Fellows will have access to mentors, studios, industry events and be supported with travel logistics and accommodation for up to 8 weeks.
Applications are now open for the 2025 Fellowship, which will be reviewed and selected by an independent industry-based advisory panel.
