VMDO Announces Creator’s Lab Grant for New Media Makers
The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) and Deathproof have today announced a new grant and skill sharing program to support emerging and established media makers in continuing to fuel discourse around Australian music. Comprising a financial grant as well as intimate closed-door sessions with professionals in the field, Creator’s Lab will provide a boost to Victoria’s up-and-coming creators
The Creator’s Lab Grant aims to support Victorian new media makers in what can typically be a very lonesome endeavour. Dozens of excellent creatives arrive on our devices annually, sharing their music discovery, interviewing local artists and exploring the inner workings of their local live music scene, but many are not equipped with training, connections or funding to continue once the going gets tough (and the follower count stops growing!).
The Creator’s Lab Grant is open to any Victorian creators currently making: podcasts, blogs, short form TikToks, long form youtube videos or similar (audio or visual) original content that supports a range of Australian musicians.
The Creator’s Lab Grant involves:

VMDO warmly invites industry, marketers, PRs and new media creators - emerging or established - to attend this exciting, RSVP only event.
